Akilaris develops AI-enabled space intelligence and collision-avoidance capabilities for safer satellite operations. We are a Bremen-based European team working at the intersection of software, AI, aerospace engineering and operations. We describe the work as it is: priorities can evolve, safety and evidence come before hype, and no contribution is used operationally without the appropriate review.
You work on a clearly scoped market or commercial question with a named point of contact and regular review. The exact project is selected from current priorities and will be explained before you accept the internship.
Your Mission
- Own a defined research or market-mapping workstream with agreed deliverables
- Support target-account research, discovery preparation and documented follow-up
- Prepare concise customer, partner or event materials from approved information
- Help maintain reliable pipeline data and identify missing evidence
- Present findings, limitations and recommended next steps at the end of the internship
What You Bring
- Current studies in business, engineering, aerospace or a related field
- Availability for a full-time internship of 3–6 months
- Professional English, careful research and clear written communication
Helpful, Not Required
- A prior project, internship or student initiative involving customers, markets or strategy
- Interest in European space, deep tech or public procurement
- German or another European working language
Practical Details
- Internship type, duration and compensation are confirmed in writing before the start and follow the applicable German rules
- Regular presence in Bremen is required

Our Hiring Process
The exact process depends on the role and is explained at the start. It typically includes:
- a structured first review against the published core criteria,
- a role-related conversation and, where useful, a short time-boxed work sample — never unpaid customer or production work,
- a mutual alignment discussion covering mission, collaboration, work model and terms.
