Master Thesis in Business Development
Master Thesis · Part-time
Akilaris was founded on the belief that the orbital economy only works if space stays safe. We build AI-powered space intelligence and collision avoidance that lets satellite operators act in minutes, not days. Joining Akilaris means joining a small, fast team in Bremen, Europe’s City of Space, where your work ships to real operators and directly protects real assets in orbit.
Space traffic management is a market being born in real time, regulation, demand and technology are all moving. Your Master thesis will model this market and derive a defensible go-to-market and pricing strategy for autonomous collision avoidance services.
Responsibilities
- Model the STM/SSA market: segments, buying centers, willingness to pay, regulatory drivers
- Analyze pricing models (SaaS, per-asset, per-maneuver, enterprise) against real customer conversations
- Develop a go-to-market strategy including channel, partnership and land-and-expand motions
- Validate hypotheses through expert interviews arranged with our network
- Deliver a strategy the founding team will pressure-test and adopt
Basic Qualifications
- Master student in management, industrial engineering, aerospace management or similar
- Strong analytical toolkit (market modeling, interviews, strategy frameworks)
- Fluent English
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Prior thesis/projects on B2B SaaS pricing or deep-tech go-to-market
- Familiarity with the European space ecosystem (ESA, national programs, NewSpace)
Additional Requirements
- Thesis duration per your examination regulations (typically 5–6 months)
- Optional paid working-student hours alongside the thesis
What We Offer
- Direct impact: your work ships to production and is used by real satellite operators
- Work side by side with the founders: short paths, fast decisions, real ownership
- Flexible hours built around lectures and exam phases (for student roles)
- Office in Bremen, Europe’s City of Space, in the heart of a dense aerospace ecosystem, with hybrid options
- A high-trust, high-velocity culture: we iterate like a launch company, not a corporation
- Clear growth path: many student roles convert into permanent positions
