Business Development & Key Accounts
Bachelor Thesis in Business Development
Bachelor Thesis · Part-time
Akilaris was founded on the belief that the orbital economy only works if space stays safe. We build AI-powered space intelligence and collision avoidance that lets satellite operators act in minutes, not days. Joining Akilaris means joining a small, fast team in Bremen, Europe’s City of Space, where your work ships to real operators and directly protects real assets in orbit.
You will research and design a key account management framework for the space industry: how should an early-stage company segment, prioritize and grow accounts like satellite operators, agencies and primes? Your findings ship into our actual commercial playbook.
Responsibilities
- Define the research question together with us and your university supervisor
- Analyze our current pipeline and account structure (under NDA)
- Benchmark key account approaches across space and adjacent B2B deep-tech industries
- Develop and validate a segmentation and growth framework for Akilaris accounts
- Present results to the founding team; strongest recommendations go live
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor student in business administration, industrial engineering or similar, ready to start the thesis
- Solid grasp of B2B sales/marketing fundamentals
- Fluent English (thesis may be written in English or German)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Coursework or projects in key account management, B2B marketing or strategy
- Interest in the space sector
Additional Requirements
- Thesis duration per your examination regulations (typically 3–4 months)
- Optional paid working-student hours alongside the thesis
What We Offer
- Direct impact: your work ships to production and is used by real satellite operators
- Work side by side with the founders: short paths, fast decisions, real ownership
- Flexible hours built around lectures and exam phases (for student roles)
- Office in Bremen, Europe’s City of Space, in the heart of a dense aerospace ecosystem, with hybrid options
- A high-trust, high-velocity culture: we iterate like a launch company, not a corporation
- Clear growth path: many student roles convert into permanent positions
