As Business Development Manager you own the commercial front line. You find, qualify and win the satellite operators, agencies and primes that need autonomous collision avoidance, and you translate what you hear in the market straight into our product roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the sales pipeline across commercial satellite operators, space agencies and industry primes
  • Lead the full deal cycle: outbound, qualification, technical discovery, pilot design, negotiation, close
  • Develop account strategies for key European and US space accounts and grow them into long-term partnerships
  • Represent Akilaris at leading industry events and turn conversations into qualified opportunities
  • Work with engineering to translate customer requirements into offers, pilots and statements of work
  • Build market intelligence on space traffic management, SSA and the competitive landscape and feed it back into strategy

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, aerospace or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B business development, sales or account management
  • Fluent English; professional working German

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience selling technical products in space, aerospace or deep tech
  • Existing network among satellite operators, agencies or primes
  • Understanding of satellite operations, SSA/STM or orbital mechanics fundamentals
  • Experience with public and institutional procurement processes
  • Ability to run a deal with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, iterative environment

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to customers and industry events (approx. 20%)
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Bremen area; hybrid work possible
  • Some of our work touches dual-use technology governed by EU export-control regulations; candidates must be able to comply with applicable EU export-control requirements.
