Akilaris develops AI-enabled space intelligence and collision-avoidance capabilities for safer satellite operations. We are a Bremen-based European team working at the intersection of software, AI, aerospace engineering and operations. We describe the work as it is: priorities can evolve, safety and evidence come before hype, and no contribution is used operationally without the appropriate review.
You document the people, products and development work behind Akilaris. You turn real moments into well-crafted films without staging technical capabilities or publishing confidential material. The role combines hands-on filming in Bremen with structured post-production.
Your Mission
- Develop video concepts, story outlines, interview questions, shot lists and realistic production plans
- Film interviews, product demonstrations, development milestones, events and behind-the-scenes documentation in Bremen and, where agreed, on location
- Edit video from ingest and selection through rough and fine cut, sound clean-up and mix, colour correction, subtitles, titles and final export
- Create documentary pieces as well as launch films, teasers, trailers and short format adaptations for the website, social channels, presentations and events
- Prepare visual stories for product launches in close coordination with product, engineering and communications
- Organise raw footage, project files, releases, music and asset rights, versions, backups and an accessible media archive
- Verify technical statements and obtain approval before publication while protecting customer, project and team confidentiality
What You Bring
- A portfolio or work samples demonstrating filming, editing and visual storytelling; a specific degree is not required
- Hands-on experience with camera, lighting and audio equipment and a professional editing workflow in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or a comparable tool
- A good eye for framing, pacing, sound and narrative, with the discipline to finish work reliably for the agreed format and deadline
- Ability to work independently during production while incorporating precise editorial and technical feedback
Helpful, Not Required
- Experience with documentary, product, technology, science, startup or event productions
- Motion graphics, animation, sound design, colour grading or photography
- German and professional English for interviews and production coordination
- A valid driving licence and willingness to support occasional regional shoots or events
Practical Details

- The role is offered part-time or as a Minijob; weekly hours, availability and the exact scope are agreed before an offer
- Regular presence in Bremen is required for filming; suitable editing and preparation work can be organised flexibly by agreement
- The role is based in Germany. You must be entitled to work in Germany by the agreed start date; any support with permits or relocation is assessed individually and is not guaranteed.
